Ni izbliza ne zvuči tako pesimistički kako su ga naši preveli. Normalno da je teško svakom od njih četvorice, nije otkrio Ameriku.

Andy wins Stirling Sports Award

Olympic gold medallist and US Open champ Andy Murray has been voted Sportsperson of the Year award at the Stirling Sports Awards 2012.
It was recently revealed that World No 3 Andy’s only superstition is that he won’t hold a trophy he hasn’t won for fear it brings him bad luck.
“I certainly haven’t held the Wimbledon one. I haven’t held any gold medals either,” he said ahead of the Olympics, where he won a gold and silver.
Andy Murray can now add the Sportsperson of the Year award and the trophy when it reaches his hands for the first time to proving this superstition works as he was crowned overall winner at the Stirling Sports Awards 2012 at Stirling Castle last night (Thursday).
Unfortunately he wasn’t there to collect his trophy as he takes a well-earned break after what has arguably been the season of his life and best year ever.
On hearing he had won the award, though, Andy sent a personal message of thanks to show how much it meant to him and added his apologies for not being able to attend.
“Hi everyone, I’m so sorry I can’t be with you tonight to collect my award, I’m about to embark on my training block in Miami, basically my pre-season ahead of the Australian Open and with Ivan at the helm, it won’t be pretty!
“I always love coming home, Stirling is a place close to my heart, and an award like this means a great deal.
“ I can still remember the homecoming to Dunblane after the US Open win, such an amazing atmosphere, something I’ll never forget.
“I’m proud to be part of the local community and it’s great that sport is celebrated in this way here in Stirling.
“I’ll be back up soon though I promise thanks again and here’s to 2013 and sport in Scotland.”

Da nije Britanac ne bi se nikada nasao na listi. Mislim, osvojio 2(slovima dva) turnira i treba da bude proglasen za sportistu godine . On nije cak ni u svojoj kategoriji a to je tenis proglasen za najboljeg a kamoli za najboljeg sportistu. Neverovatno, ali navikli da uvek neki teniser bude nominovan pa ajd' neka bude Endi.

Nisam znala da ni Federer nikad nije ovo dobio a Rafa je 2008. osvojio zlato na OI i DVA slema, uključujući ono čuveno finale W, pa ni on nije dovoljno uradio izgleda. (pominjem 2008. za slučaj da se zlato na OI računa posebno). Novakovu prošlu godinu nema smisla ni pominjati.
Ovo je čisto sentimentalno. Marijevi rezultati će biti za toliko precenjeni za koliko se duže čekalo da ih on postigne. Tu se ne može ništa, ali ne verujem da će stići dalje od nominacije.

Pa ove godine bi trebalo i samo Bolt da je dovoljno jaka konkurencija, a da ne pominjem ostale olimpijske šampione. Ko je uopšte u konkurenciji? Ne mogu da nađem neki konkretan spisak, samo vidim par ovakvih članaka.

Pored njih, kandidati su Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Lebron James, vozac relija Sebastian Loeb, dzudista Teddy Riner, biciklisti Bradley Wiggins i legendarni Chris Hoy (dvoranski), skakac u vodu David Boudia, golfer Rory Mcllroy, badmintonas Lin Dan, bacac diska Robert Harting, vozac relija Sebastian Loeb. Moguce da fali jos neko, kasno je za neko detaljnije guglanje.
