Former Top 20 player Igor Andreev has announced he will retire at the end of the season. The 30-year-old Russian has been plagued by a series of injuries since he reached the Roland Garros quarterfinals in 2007.

Andreev has won three ATP titles and reached a career-high rank of No. 18. Currently ranked No. 991, Andreev's lone tour-level main-draw match this season was a first-round loss at Wimbledon to Lukasz Kubot.

“This is my last year due to various factors and circumstances,” Andreev told NTV-Plus. “During the last few years there have been a lot of injuries, which played a decisive role. But life goes on, I want to stay in the sport.”

Endi Marej završio sezonu

Treći teniser sveta je danas saopštio da je za njega ova sezona završena.

Mareja još od maja meseca muči povreda leđa pa je odlučio da ode na operaciju i spreman dočeka početak naredne sezone. Zbog iste povrede je propustio ovogodišnji Rolan Garos.
On će od bitnijih turnira propustiti one u Šangaju,Parizu i Londonu. Još od titule na Vimbldonu se videlo da Škot ne igra na vrhunskom nivou i da je samo pitanje vremena kada će se odlučiti za operaciju i saniranje povrede.

Ova sezona je ujedno bila i najuspešnija u njegovoj karijeri s obzirom da je konačno osvojio Vimbldon, igrao finale Australian Opena i bio ponovo drugi na rang listi.
Poslednji meč ove sezone Endi je odigrao protiv Ivana Dodiga u okviru plej-ofa za Svetsku grupu Dejvis kupa.

Iz neke konverzacije sa Katarinom Jokic zakljucio sam da ona jako zeli da igra za Srbiju, ali kao da ove nase boli uvo da se malo potrude...Inace je usla u finale ITF u Budvi....'98 je godiste...Pravo blago...

Nešto sumnjam da će organizatori GS-a potrčati da prihvate ovaj predlog

WTA turnir iz Palerma seli se u Kuala Lumpur. Italijanski TS nije nimalo srećan, izgleda da su u Palermu mimo njih izglasali da prihvate ponudu iz Malezije po praktično istoj ceni koju su mogli da dobiju kod kuće. Nije mi bogzna šta jasno.

The Australian Open is increasing its prize money by $3 million to bring overall player compensation to $31 million next year.

"We said it last year and we still believe it - these incredible athletes deserve every cent and we will continue to do everything in our power to make the life of an international professional tennis player more worthwhile," Craig Tiley, the CEO of Tennis Australia said of Wednesday's announcement.

That's not the only change coming - Margaret Court Arena is undergoing a massive transformation as part of the Victorian Government's $366 million redevelopment, and will sport a new look, including a new roof providing fans with shaded seating areas, with plans to make the roof retractable for 2015.

In keeping with player demands to see a larger slice of Grand Slam revenues, all four of the sport's Grand Slam tournaments have greatly increased their prize money in the past two years.

Wimbledon now offers about $36.5 million, while the U.S. Open increased its purse to $34.3 million and the French Open went up to $29.7 million.

Takmičarski odbor Teniskog saveza Srbije poništio je ekipno seniorsko prvenstvo za 2013. posle odigranog prvog kola.
Odluku o poništavanju Lige za seniore Takmičarski odbor je doneo nakon žalbe TK As iz Novog Sada na diskvalifikaciju i nepravilnu registraciju igrača ostalih klubova učesnika Prve lige za seniore.
Na osnovu uvida u prijave TO TSS je zaključio da ni jedan klub nije dostavio valjanu prijavu za Ekipno prvenstvo Srbije te je doneo odluku o poništenju Ekipnog prvenstva Srbije za seniore, te zakazivanje novog takmičenja u decembru.

“The top players, the women, we always told the Grand Slams initially that we are willing, ready, and able to play the best-of-five if that was what made the difference between, at the time, equal prize money or match scheduling or whatever it took,” she told reporters. So, yeah, we’re all ready. I think not just me and Venus. Several other players that are willing to do whatever it takes.”
