Fabio Fonjini nije izgubio samo teniski meč od Filipa Krajinovića. Izgubio je i kontrolu i poštovanje mnogih.
Srpski igrač porazio ga je ekspresno, za 55 minuta (6:4, 6:0) i tako izazvao gnev favorizovanog Italijana. Fonjini je tokom meča, u besu, nazvao: "Ciganine!"

Kada je shvatio da taj detalj nije promakao mnogima, odlučio je da se izvini Filipu na svom Twitter profilu.

WTA tennis star Tamira Paszek has confirmed that she is dating her coach, the former ATP pro Andrei Pavel. Paszek is currently 23 years old while Pavel is 40 years old. The Romanian tennis pro has 2 kids - aged 15 and 12 - with Simone Pavel, who he is currently divorcing.

Pavel won three ATP titles in his career and peaked at no. 13 in the world rankings. He also reached the quarter-finals of the French Open in 2002.

The Austrian Paszek has been a former top 30 player and is currently just ranked outside the top 100 in the world.

Nicole Vaidisova could make her return on the professional circuit soon

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza broke down in an interview with an Indian news channel on Friday after the latest controversy surrounding her became national news in India.

Mirza was labelled as the daughter-in-law of Pakistan by a leader of the ruling BJP party in India, who was not happy that Mirza was chosen as the brand ambassador of the newly created state of Telangana.

Sania issued a strong statement on Thursday insisting that she was an Indian and will remain one all her life, although she is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik.

But in an interview with NDTV's Barkha Dutt, Mirza broke down as she spoke about her nationality and patriotism being challenged.

It was extremely hurtful. I think it's unfair that I or we have to keep justifying our Indian-ness, keep asserting our Indian-ness again and again. Don't know if that has something to do with my gender. After playing for the country for as many years, after saying time and again that I have an Indian passport, after winning medals for India after I got married, don't know why I have to keep justifying that I am Indian. If someone is going to question my roots and question my Indian-ness, I will not let that happen. Am too strong to let people like this break me.

I was really sad yesterday. I don't know if it happens in any other country where you have to keep proving that you are from that other country. It is because I am married to someone from another country, because I am a woman, I don't know. We live in an extremely male chauvinist society. Unfortunately, we have to deal with this as women.
